Social media is very powerful. Even small and medium sized businesses can benefit from the many social media outlets - whether it means they start a blog, start podcasting, or join and participate on social networking or social bookmarking sites. There are many proactive things businesses can do that will not only help expose them to new audiences, but position them as experts in their industry.
