So... does anybody have any ideas of future events. I'm all for continuing to do social and networking events, but would anybody be interested in educational type things.. lectures, talks, round tables, etc. Let me know!

Thanks,
Marilyn

Definitely interested in the educational. You already have several groups here that I'd like to hear people spout off about more. I've found that most of us can learn a lot from each other ... just as an example, I've learned so many Mac tips from being around other designers, because it seems all of us come at it from all angles, experiences and backgrounds ... some having had actual class instruction, some learning by watching the person next to them, some from Mac user groups, and some just from the good old "school of hard knocks" and trial and error. ... and there IS often more than one way to get something done!

I would be very interested in having some sort of a networking event, as well as any types of lectures or round tables. I'll put my thinking cap on.

I have been distracted as of late. I do apologize to all. With the holidays coming up, I wasn't sure if people were clamoring for social/educational brainstorming meetings. However, if enough people are interested I could be inspired to plan an event for next month?

I was thinking "Using Social Media for PR".

Let me know your thoughts. :)

To all,
I popped back onto this site today after missing some time, and am happy to see a few new folks have come aboard! I still feel like this could be a great networking group for all of us, and would really like the chance to meet some of you.

Is it possible to have some type of casual meet-up before Christmas? I know everyone's schedules start filling up, but maybe it could be anytime between now and then, and not real close to the holiday, when everyone agenda's are already crammed. A happy hour somewhere? A coffee shop meeting? Someone's office who has the space?

For a good ice-breaker idea, I'm involved with another group where we are all to bring a present, but you are not allowed to spend ANY money on it ... it has to be some stupid or funny thing that you already have ... and probably don't really want! With this group of creative-minds, that could end up being very interesting, I'm sure! I'll be happy to help in the planning if others are interested. - Earl Weldon

Any of the above would be good, and I would try to attend.
If it's of interest to anyone, I am also part of a business group called the "Opt-In!" Business Network. Cost is $49 for a year (cheap!) and we have a breakfast once a month, to network, chat, share info, etc.
If interested, check out www.opt-innetwork.com

Hello All. I'm new and really thrilled with this great resource. Thanks Marilyn!

Did this get together ever happen? I am relatively new in the field, about 5 yrs experience in marketing/communications, and love to learn, listen and talk about all things marketing. I love the idea of a roundtable on a particular topic, a case study presentation, or perhaps a "plan to plan' meeting for those interested in participating in this group?

Cheers!
